Ahead of the curve means to be at the forefront of a movement or trend, resulting in a first-mover advantage over the competition. You might hear a Brand Manager say, “This innovation really puts us ahead of the curve. Our consumers are going to love it; forecasts indicate sales will increase +15% and we’ll capture +1.2 share points from the competition!”
